Andrew Casto
Andrew Casto (born in 1977 in Ohio, USA) lives and works in Iowa City, USA. In 2011, he was awarded the MJD Fellowship from the Archie Bray Foundation for Ceramic Art in Helena, Montana, and has exhibited his work internationally in Spain, Croatia, Italy, Austria, Slovenia, Belgium, China, Switzerland, France, and Japan.
In 2015, he received the Emerging Artist Award from the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA), and in 2017, he was a finalist for the Young Masters Maylis Grand Ceramics Prize with the Cynthia Corbett Gallery in London.
Andrew Casto has participated in more than seventy group exhibitions and has held several solo shows, including at Galleria Salvatore Lanteri (Milan), Mindy Solomon Gallery (Miami), and Eutectic Gallery (Portland).
He is currently Associate Professor and Head of the Ceramics Program at the University of Iowa.
